Not every Goose Creek roof needs a full replacement. Most calls we get are for targeted fixes — a single failed pipe boot, a popped flashing seam, a dozen shingles that lost their seal after a thunderstorm rolled through Pine Plantation. We'd rather extend your roof's life than sell you a re-roof you don't need yet.
When you call, the first question we ask is “is anything currently dripping?” If yes, we move you to the front of the line.
The repairs we do most often in Goose Creek
- Pipe boot replacement. The neoprene gasket around plumbing vents is the #1 leak source on Lowcountry roofs. UV destroys it. We swap the boot and reseal the field around it.
- Flashing reseal. Step flashing around chimneys, dormers, and wall transitions. We pull the failed sealant, replace any bent or corroded flashing, and re-flash.
- Shingle replacement. After wind events, missing or creased shingles need to come out before the tabs around them lift. We match the existing color line as closely as the discontinued shingles allow.
- Ridge cap repair.Ridge caps catch the most wind and the most sun. They're also the first thing insurance adjusters look at after a storm.
- Valley re-flashing. Water concentrates in valleys. If yours is leaking or showing rust streaks on the ceiling below, valley work is often the answer.
- Skylight reseal and flashing. Skylights leak more than they should. We can reseal in place or fully re-flash if the original install was sloppy.
- Soft sheathing patches. If a leak has gone on long enough to rot a section of deck, we cut out the bad OSB, replace it, and shingle over the patch.
When a repair is the right call (and when it isn't)
Repair makes sense when the roof is generally sound and the damage is isolated. If the field is failing in multiple places — granular loss, brittle shingles, multiple leaks in different parts of the same roof — patching one spot just delays the inevitable.
We'll be honest at the inspection. If a $400 repair is going to extend your roof another five years, we'll do the repair. If it's a $400 band-aid on a roof that needs full replacement within 12 months, we'll say so.
Same-week scheduling
Most non-emergency Goose Creek repairs happen within 5 business days of the inspection. Emergencies — active leaks, exposed sheathing, tarp jobs — are same-day or next-day depending on what time you call.
We carry a stocked truck for common repairs, which means we often diagnose and fix on the same trip. If the repair needs ordered materials (specific shingle colors, less common flashing profiles), we'll tarp anything that's actively leaking before we leave.
